It's been so long since I've written a blog post, and so many things have happened in the meantime. I quit my job, started a new business, published two (!) novels, went back to work full-time (for a while), watched my youngest graduate from high school and then sent him off to the U.S. Navy, finished two additional books (one fiction, one non-fiction), started on a fourth novel, won an award!
Wow, writing that down and reading it back makes me seem like a badass.
But I'm not a badass, I'm just a woman trying to figure out what's important in life and navigate changing circumstances while not losing my s#!t. And that's not easy to do. For ANY of us.
So if you're reading this, and you're feeling down about something--about anything--I just want to let you know that I'm proud of you. You rolled out of bed this morning and faced another day. Because life is HARD, and there are days that it's easy to question meanings and motivations. But look at us--going to work, raising kids, paying bills, cooking dinner, generally making it through.
Just don't forget to take some time for yourself. Because you deserve to be happy, too.
